Simulation and Simulacra took over my life for a period of time where I followed a course of study to deconstruct the book's meaning philosophically. It was rather bunk because much of the book is drawn out horseshit. Pataphysics is a science of nonsense and thus is bullshit. A fictive theory of theory is free floating from reality thus not exactly taking part in reality but a superimposition of speculative fiction. I was foolish for spending 7 years of my life devoted to understanding the book which I read over and over again several times trying to piece out a hidden meaning in the arcane details of the tome. I should of studied something more fruitful and legitimate like Hume or Hegel or anything else. But once Baudrillard died I realized I would never fully understand with the progenitor of the text passing. I should have studied french more so as to ascertain the word play at hand in the text. French thought is given to stylistics moreso than in analytical anglo philosophy. With metonym and homonym and polynym things are toyed with and played off of each other. A word could carry multiple meanings that would be equally at play in the text, divergent paths of semantics. It is rather puzzling nonsense but french culture is a vaccuum of itself without outside influence like a soviet bloc if you will but more cultured and less repressive naturally. I am more partial to German culture maybe because I spent a moment studying the language trying to figure out what the Chaos Computer Club was saying in video posts. Now I abandoned German for Russian momentarily to see if I can summit the mountain of texts attributed to russian thinkers like Dostoevsky or Pushkin or Chekov. There is the whole Russian internet to explore on live journal and what have you.
Knowing how to pivot is important in OSINT it seems and to go from a wide scope to a narrower scope. Pivot charts are useful to collect information of results from selectors, each pivot being a resultant node of information. Going from a wide search to a narrower search is like the goldilock's effect, a little too wide and you lose focus but too focused you can lose out on other wider details. All sources state that methdology trumps tools and the focus early on in an OSINT career is to develop your methodology like knowing how to pivot and knowing the intelligence cycle. Being nimble and flexible in your search queries is important to hone your searches using Google as a primary tool to locate information. You just have to Google it. You Google to find tools like websites that facilitate investigations. It seems that Rae Baker, the author of Deep Dive into OSINT, is adept at using Google to serve her needs though she stresses the importance of methodology. Cynthia Hetherington of ...
